Winter is upon us! Safety is of the utmost concern for ALLY staff and ALLY’s participants.
- As always, ALLY has a 15 minute window on both sides of the original pick up/drop off time. This might be longer if excessive snow or ice presents a safety issue. ALLY staff will slow down and proceed with caution during inclement weather.
- ALLY transportation is mandated to provide curb to curb This means during pick up or drop off Ally People Solutions is not responsible to drive up an excessively snowy/slippery driveway or escort participants on slippery/snowy sidewalks. If driveways/sidewalks are not properly shoveled and/or salted, the driver will wait at the curb for the home staff to escort the participant.
- All participants should be dressed properly for winter. i.e: winter coat, gloves, hat. Winter is unpredictable and cold; therefore, if ALLY participants are not properly clothed they will be sent back into the home to become properly outfitted.
